96 V6 accord put on a/c belt
I am having a difficult time putting a/c belt on the motor.
height adjustment bolt is there, but it won't change the height.
there is a bolt that's holding the tensioner, but it's impossible to get loose.
is there a trick or a whole new way of installing belts on hondas?

RE: 96 V6 accord put on a/c belt
I haven't personally done a belt change on that year or model but I believe the belt runs around the alternator as well correct? If that's the case then loosen up the adjusting bolt on the alternator and the lower bolt as well and just push the alternator into a postion where the belt goes slack enough to replace

you need to ,, first of all loosen up the 14mm nut in the middle of the idler pulley , once that 's loose, unscrew the bolt on top of pulley i believe it might be 10mm .. go as far as you need to , so you can install the new belt ,, once installed, adjust the tension by tightening the 10mm bolt,, when properly adjusted retightem the 14mm nut on the idler pulley,,
