Default 97 accord won't start

this happens after i removed the alternator and reinstalled it. can hear the starting sound, but looks like the engine won't run itself. drive belts can run initially but will stop after the engine dies. the crankshaft pulley stops at the position of ignition, the first mark of the two. what's the problem? except the alternator, i didn't touch anything else.

Default RE: 97 accord won't start

after some searching of internet. find a way to solve and it works amazingly. when turn the key to start the car, depress the gas padel a little bit. my car runs again! so now what i think is that because i didn't use my car for several days, the carbon inside the intake system jamed the fuel system. old car has all kinds of problems!
