99 Accord Instrument Lights out

The Instrument Panel Lights - Tach, Speed, Fuel, and Temp lights all went outat the same time last night, as I was driving on the highway. I checked the fuse and it's good, I removed the instrument panel and replaced the 3 bulbs for these gauges; It is still not working. Any ideas??

RE: 99 Accord Instrument Lights out

Most likely your tail lights (park lights, running lights) are out too.
It is unsafe to drive it at night like that.

Check the fuses under the hood too, the instrument panel lights might be on a separate fuse downstream of the tail light circuit. Also, it might be the dimmer circuit. Try rotating the dimmer knob to see if maybe it simply has a bad spot.

Another way to check the circuits would be to turn on the headlights and see if the clock and radio go dim. They get their signal to dim from the instrument panel lights.

And, it would be really helpful if you would post what year of Accord you have. They aren't all the same...

any other lights out? audio backlight? clock backlight? AT shifter light?
The 2 fuses to check are Passenger side under dash fuse panel; #10 fuse/ 10 amp and lucky #13 /7.5 amp
This could bemultiplex control unit problem
