Default 99 Accord knock sensor ???

We have tried 2 different knock sensors and still have a code for knock sensor. We checked wire between sensor and ECU and it is good. Anybody have any ideas. Sure would appreciate it , my daughter in-law is about ready to choke my son. Thanks Clap

You checked continuity as well as checking for short-to-ground? How about dirty/corroded/loose plug that isn't making good contact when you plug it onto the sensor?

NEW sensor? I just don't want to take anything for granted in case your 2 different sensors both came from a junkyard?

Did you clear the code in case it's left over from the first sensor?

I have the same issue with my accord however I don't have a check engine light but when I checked the sensor I noticed it was just broken hanging there. When I went to the junkyard. To get a new one I noticed they all broke the same way as mine, guess its cheap manafacturing, when I went to purchase a new one there are 2 types, cheap or not cheap, I'm kinda skeptical on which to buy.

What code is it giving you.? Is it possible that the car does have a knock and the sensor is doing what its supposed too.?

Well we got two cheapo's off of ebay and neither were any good. Went and bought a $130 dollar one today and all is well now. No more cheapo's for us anymore. Just be careful when installing they will break easy. And they have to be torqued at 23 FT. LBS Yes cleared the code , we have a snap on computer

Glad to hear it. What tool did you use in order to get the sensor of the motor because mine is just buried and I can't get a wrench in there and a socket and rachet barely fit.

15/16 deep well socket. We did it from under the car. My son works at a garage and has access to lifts. It is wide open from under the car
