99 Accord shift lock out

99 Accord intermittent start
Engine would not start today with a fully charged battery. After many attempts to start, shifted into drive a few times with brake depressed and engine finally started. The dealership recently replaced the ignition switch about 6 months ago. Any ideas as to how to troubleshoot or what might be malfunctioning?
