Default ABS Light

Is there a way to check the abs sensors on a 1996 honda accord

I think, 96 4cyl's, still had the service connector under/behind the glove box. If so, short that and get the codes (ECU, TCU, ABS).

Yes, the 96 ABS can be checked by shorting service check connector. Read all short flashes and short pauses (ffff-p-f=4-1). Post your code for help.

When i try this i get 4 short flashes pause then 4 short flashes . would this be code 44.

It is a code 4-4. Passenger side rear wheel sensor. Clean any grease/debris. Also test the resistance.

Suggest getting 94 shop manual. Go to Common DIY Threads sticky on this forum and click on online shop manuals.
