ABS linked to VSS on a 94?
So my odometer and tachometer haven't been working since I bought my '94 Accord. After doing the cruise control test, I've come to the conclusion that the VSS is bad. I've noticed that about two minutes into me driving, the ABS light would come on.
After doing some research on the internet, I've seen posts saying that the ABS is linked to the VSS. Is this true, or is the ABS linked to a completely different sensor? If it's any help, the brakes seem to be working just fine.

The ABS uses a sensor at each wheel to actually do it's stuff. But I'm not sure if the VSS is in there somehow, just as an overall check that the car is being driven.
Someone with a circuit drawing for the ABS system will see whether the VSS is connected at all.

separate systems, the VSS is located on the transmission and will cause your speedo to be inop, but not the tach, it gets the signal from the ICM (ignition control module in the dist.) ABS light coming on is probably one of the sensor or the control module/hydraulic assy.

Well I got the code, and I'm scratching my head more than ever now. L,L,S,S (22) which is the VTEC Oil Pressure Switch defective circuit or unplugged / defective oil pressure switch. And the L,L,S,S looped three times.
I used the connector that's under the glovebox, and the CEL stayed on, but the ABS light was giving the code. What makes it more confusing is that after doing some research on another Honda forum, that code doesn't even exist.

Please see this and check again. https://www.hondaaccordforum.com/for...s-codes-33940/
ABS codes are a bit different than the CEL codes

Ok - I thought a bit more about how your description might be an ABS code. Please recheck the code after reading the link and the attached.
Best I can come up with is a code 1 with no subcode...or maby a 1-1 code. If my guess is correct, start with check the brake fluid level in the ABS UNIT - not the brake master, the ABS unit. Then you should bleed the ABS UNIT.

You short that blue two pin connector to get CEL, D4, ABS, and SRS codes.
When you tell us a code, also tell us the light, because a CEL code 32 is much different than an ABS code 3-2.
Look at the picture poorman posted. When you turn the key, the ABS light turns on for about two seconds (bulb check, so no code), 2 second pause. Then you get the main code, 1 second pause, then the sub code.
There is a 5 second pause between new codes.
Let us know what you find.
