AC delete question
94 LX. AC system has been depressurized for 6 or 7 years now. I live in a state where the temps only break 80 about three days out of the year, and I was sick of the hoses getting in the way, so I disconnected the high/low lines, removed the condenser and the little cooling element but I haven't had time to lift my car and pull the compressor and change belts. I know it has a valve that should prevent the clutch from engaging the compressor when the system has nothing to compress, but my question is: with the lines disconnected, do I risk seizing the compressor if I drive her to work for the next three days?

You'll be fine driving it. Just when you get a chance I'd pull the compressor and get a belt that'll fit without it.
Just get a measurement of how long you need the belt without the compressor and take it to autozone/napa/whatever store and get a belt that'll delete the compressor.
