Default AC Intermittent

Hey all,
my wife drives an 04' Accord EX, 2.4L Auto. It has 110k miles on and its been great for the 5 years we've owned it. With just one recent problem

About 9 months ago her AC stopped working, I went out and had her turn the AC on and off and from what I remember it looked liked the clutch wasnt engaging ( I could be wrong) about 2 weeks she randomly turned it on and sure enough it started working for about 4 or 5 days and now it doesnt work again. Any ideas on what could cause this. The electrical connections to the compressor are clean and tight. And the R134 levels are good.

Thanks

The common diy thread on top of the gen tech help forum has a link to checking hvac codes for the 03-07 accords. Do that check and let us know what code(s) you get.

Just went out and did the test I dont know exactly how to read it though, at the beginning of the test (immediatly after I hit the defogger button 5 times) the recirculation indicator flashes twice. Then I stays on constant for several seconds what seems to be the length of the test. There are no flashes at the end of the test.

I took a video

The next step for me would be to unplug the compressor, start the engine, and turn on the a/c. Use a volt meter to test for 12V on that connector. If the connector has two wires, the non-black wire is the hot wire.

I'll do that as soon as I can probably tomorrow, but did the test show as 2 blinks or was that considered 0 blinks? Thanks again

Can't really tell - does this car have the "auto HVAC" - again hard to tell from the video.
