I have a 2006 accord 4 door. I found out when replacing my accord low beam bulb on the driver side, I have to cut part of the plastic of the bulb to get it in. Is that a defect on the socket/housing itself? Can I have the dealer replace the housing?

I have the right bulb with no problem on passengger side, but have problem with the driver side. When I opened the bulb from the honda original manufacturer, the plastic on the bulb has been broken in order to fit on the passenger side. Thanks.
why are you doing any work at all on your car ?? it is fully under warranty.........Unless you are planning on installing different bulbs , have the dealer do all the work on it,,
