Accord 93 Exi : Fuel Meter goes up while driving
Hi,
I just bought an Accord 1993 Exi 1st Release it had done 300K up to now.
When I start the engine the fuel gauge shows the correct fuel level and as I start to drive (approximately after 5-10 min) it gradually goes up and goes beyond the maximum limit and gets stuck there.
When I stop the car and restart in a short time same problem, but if I stop and restart after a while say 1-2 hrs then it starts indicating the correct level and follows the same error.
Can any specialist help me?
Tks.
Mark.

EXi is not a US accord, so I am not sure where you are located.
Anyway the three components for the fuel sending unit are the fuel gauge on the dash, the fuel sending unit in the trunk, and the wiring between those items.
The sending unit is under an access panel in the trunk closer to the back seat. There is a ground bolt nearby that you may want to clean along with the eyelet with some sand paper. There are some electrical tests that you can do. You will need a volt meter to do some testing.
