Actual gas mileage for EX-L V6 coupe with 6 speed vs. automatic
Need some help,
I'm looking at a 2010 Honda Accord coupe, V6 with a manual tranmission as I drive 34,000 highway miles a year at 80 miles an hour. I commute between SC and FL. So I wanted to see what the actual MPG's would be for this car. Had an Accord from 1991 - 1997 and loved it....but want to know what the MPG's will be and when runing 80 MPH and what the RPM's are at 80 MPH. I love the idea of having a mannual tranny, but the MPG may prohibit it in the long run ? 3 miles per gallon is $42 - $45 more per month in gas.
Thanks for your help

I don't know if a lot of 2010 accord owners will be on here. You should take it for a test drive and find out the rpm at 80 mph. If you fill up right before you get on the interstate, then drive 20 minutes, then return (40 mile trip), then fill up the tank again, you can get a rough estimate on the mpg on that accord with your driving style.
I don't think a MT will decrease the mpg. It might increase the mpg by a few mpg. Does the 2010 give you the miles per gallon on the dash?
