Air Conditioning problems on 91 Accord
FINALLY got it working....got lucky I think.
I was just sitting there trying to figure out what I was going to do next, and right when I was about to unhook......the compressor came on!! So, it took the charge and works fine. Most of the noise is gone too!
Thanks a lot for everyone's help

Receiver/dryer is the part on the right with the sight glass.....
I will probably do a little more intensive work later on to make sure it is ok with leaks. It has the leak dye in there now. It didn't really lose any vacuum though.

system can still hold vacc and still have a small leak.........the pressure on the high side is around 250- psi ..take a close look at the dischage hose ( compressor to condensor ) i have seen a lot of those leak,,
I will....just got through cleaning all the hoses up real nice. I am driving a two hour trip tomorrow, when I get back I plan to check it.
Just a follow up here.....
I checked everything this morning with a UV lite before I cleaned/detailed my engine. I found no leak at all. I have driven about 1000 miles since I recharged everything. Seems a bit weird to me that the leak would just go away. It is all really clean now, so I will check again next week after I drive to Houston and back. I'm sure the AC will be running a lot on that trip!
