Default Clunking front end noise!!!

My 96 accord lx 5 sp has 167,000 miles on it. Recently I have noticed when I come to a stop and then accelearate again, there is a clunking/knocking sound coming from the front end. It tends to be not as bad if I accelerate slowly and goes away at highway speeds. But when I turn on an off ramp slightly I hear it knocking. The drive axles are less than a year old and I had the wheel bearing done last week. Does anyone have any other ideas what it could be. I am assuming its the drive axles loose or possibly bad already. any help is much appreciated!

Default RE: Clunking front end noise!!!

I would have to say your suspension bushings are bad on your lower control arm. This would be caused by the bolt to collapse within the bushing. Another thing may be your sub frame may be loose..depending on if you had transmission work or engine work done that would involve the subframe having to be lowered. I would deffinatly check out your bushings though. Good Luck!
