Default air filters

ok just a random question. does Honda make their own air filters as well or if not whats the best type of OEM air filter to use? I dont want a SRI or Cold air intake, not into the high performance.

I try to use a quality brand filter so Ive always used only Fram or Purolator.

K&N are great filters as well but theyre also $50 but they last the life of the car. Every 50,000 miles you buy a $10 recharger kit, clean the filter out, let it dry for a day (no kidding) and slap it back in.

Personally, Id just stick with a good Fram from your local Walmart.

K&N Fliters let more air into the engine for a little bit more horsepower. They also have ben known to cause spark plugs to run hotter and burn up more quickly. I would just go with a fram of purolator

I strongly doubt that Honda makes their own air filters. If you can buy OEM at a good discount then do so. If not then any brand name aftermarket will workjust aswell. This a site sponsor with a discount code to boot:

Its probably the same with honda's oil filters. They most likely pay someone else to manufacture them and then put the Honda name on the side.

cool thanks for the info...I know about K&N filters but they also dont trap as much dirt and particles as other filters because of the high airflow. been using a fram for a while but didnt know if thier air filter production was as shoddy as the oil filters.

If you buy a Honda Oil Filter look for "Filtech" printed right on the filter.......THAT is the one to buy.
