All Warnings Lights and Check Charging System Warning
Hey guys, new to the forum!
I just purchased a 2014 Accord EX-L 2.4.. 58,000 miles and in excellent shape. Purchased it from an older gentleman that bought it new and was religious on service according to Carfax..
Anyway, I know this has been brought up a lot and I’ve been reading everything I can, but wanted to see if there is like a “check list” that I can start from the easiest thing to check to the hardest, most expensive??
I drove the car for a week or so and no issues.. I got into the car after having the windows tinted and all of the warning lights came on and were flashing.. I immediately pulled over and turned the car off, Sat for a few minutes, and then restarted the car.. None of the lights came back on.. A few days later and now the Check Charging System is scrolling across my display..
I had a good friend who’s a mechanic run some checks and the battery tested good, as well as the alternator.. I took it to a local dealership and they said all of the codes were related to low voltage and for me to charge the battery?? WTH?!?!
Anyway, frustrating and losing confidence in the vehicle when this happens. Especially when I moved to Honda for reliability!!
Anyway, any advice or help would be greatly appreciated!! Or a simple list to go down while checking stuff would be great!
Thank You!

Post the codes if you have them. Also, don't install any parts unless you verify they aren't working.
Low voltage can be from a weak/bad battery, an alternator issue, or an issue with the battery/alternator cables. Most parts stores can scan for codes as a free service if you don't have the specific codes.
It is possible that the window tinting shop left the doors open when doing the work and just drained the battery? The tinting shop may have disconnected the battery when doing their work. You may want to call and ask.
An easy item to check is if the battery cables are loose on the battery post. I found that tightening the battery cables with a 10mm boxed wrench didn't get them tight enough, where using a 10mm deep socket tightened them down better.

Hmmm, that’s a good question.. It didn’t do this until I had the tint done.. Let me get the code/codes checked and I’ll post them.. They did tell me all of the codes were low voltage or something to that effect.. Led them to believe the battery was the issue..
Thank You for the response!
