All of that anti theft BS is within the hu itself, right? I can just get an adapter and plug an aftermarket hu into it?

Thanks

Also, what is all of this about the radio coming out and having a pocket on it or whatever else? Can I just buy a dual din radio and jam it in there, or what?

The anti-theft is within the head unit. So an aftermarket unit may or may not have it's own version of anti-theft protection.

Not sure about the pocket. Maybe your car has a plastic bin that's mounted below the radio & comes out to make room for a double-DIN unit?
