ATF replacement

ATF replacement
I have read the DIY instructions by deserthonda on ATF replacement, but still have questions. The DIY Questions section says not to post questions, which I don't understand.
Anyway, it says to put the car on a lift and run through the gears until the torque converter locks up, then drain the oil, top up and repeat, etc. Someone managed to post a question asking if you could drive the car until the torque converter locked up instead of using a lift. This question was never answered. Most DIYers don't have a lift. Elsewhere in the forums I read that I can just drive the car after topping up and the next drain and top up sequence. So, can I drive it instead of putting it on a lift?
Also it seems that the Z1 fluid has been superceded.

Yes you can fill ATF through the dip-stick tube and that's what I prefer over using the fill hole. I used a long funnel and series connected a couple different sizes of vinyl tubing to fill ATF on my 04 Odyssey.

If it has a fill bolt (forget what years do and do not) I would use that, just me. On the wifes Pilot, it has one and I use it....used it just 2~3 weeks ago when I changed the fluid. Also read the owners manual for re-fill cap vs total cap. If I read the manual correclt on the Pilot, two drain and fills would be all that is needed (4qt refill vs 8qt total).

location of fill tube?
I am refilling the transmission through the dipstick tube, but I would like to know where the fill tube ("remove the fill plug and add fluid into the tube") is located. The owner's manual ('06 Accord Hybrid) has illustrations for every other fill location. Why not this one?

Not 100% sure on the hybrid. From where the master cyl is, look down to the top of the trans case, behind a set of solenoids, there should be a 17mm bolt (might still have blue paint on it), the head will have something like "ATF" in raised letters. See #13 in pic.
EDIT: Updated the attached with a true '06 hybrid Accord pic.

Found it. Thanks. I don't know why my owners manual would call it a fill tube. Now I see why people fill through the dipstick tube. I think I could get the plug out with a socket extension, but there is no way I could get my hand in there to put it back.

Again, the hybrid is not something I'm use to. I've always been able to get my hand down there from the top.
Might be able to get it "back" by coming from under and behind the it ???
I will tell you this, if it has never been removed....be prepared . You'll think the factory put that thing in there with like 80~100 ft lbs.....when really it is just heat and time. With a 1/2 breaker bar, once you hear that tell tale "crack", life is good.
Either way, the most important thing is that you are changing the fluid....way too many people seem to forget about doing service on the trans.....
