hi i have a 89 accord auto with a a20a3, the engine has a knock and i cant seem to find a cheap replacement for it. i do have an extra b20a5 and everything for it in a spare 88 honda prelude si. so my question is will the b20a5 engine and tranny fit in the 89 accord engine bay and bolt up, if so then will i need any custom mounts, like i said i have a 88 prelude si as a parts car to my 88 lude si dd. i will have the money for the swap next month

 

Can't say I've ever tried this. I've always kept mine stock.

 

ok has anyone here done this swap sucessfully, the engine in the accord will prolly last about another 100 miles b4 it blows up
