Default Bad Lock Cylinder :(

Okay, so i have a 04 accord dx with no power locks and the lock cylinder most likely needs to be replaced. My local dealer wants around 250-300 to complete the repair and I'm thinking that I could add an aftermarket power lock/keyless entry system for the same price if not cheaper. Now as a car repair noob is this something I could do myself or am I better off taking it to a shop ( i live in SF Bay Area, any recommendations?).
Thank you for any help!
