Unhappy BCM 05 Honda Accord help

Hi I have a 05 Honda Accord 2.4 dx. I fried the BCM (rather friend that was helping did). Out of my league now so had to tow it to the mechanics. I told the mechanic I would find a used BCM to say the $500+ for him to find one for me. But I'm having a hellava time finding a compatible one. I've seen it refured to as MICU, or that The PCM and ECU are the same thing, then there's the BCM that says battery control module. I have the part info for my exact make and module off my car. But that only seems to help if I'm buying a new one. So far any parts I've needed are compatible with the 05-07 DX Accords but this hasn't made it any easier to find a BCM.
so does anyone know what I can do or where to look to navigate finding a body control module?

The BCM you're referring to is likely the Multiplex Integrated Control Unit (MICU) that is incorporated as part the under-dash fuse/relay box. If that is fried, search for the under-dash fuse/relay box applicable to your vehicle.

So if I got the whole relay box is the BCM inside the box? I've found several relay boxes in my hunt for just the BCM but ignored them because I didn't realize that it could have the BCM inside...?

What is the OEM part number you found?

Sorry for delay. Part # for BCM is 37820-RAD-327
I answered my question about if the box assembly unit has the BCM located inside it but my next question... Can I use BCM from 05-07 if it's same model? Also still having hard time finding used BCMs online. Any recommend sites selling used parts would be awesome

That part number you provided is for the PCM (called the ECU on accords pre-1996) and not the MICU (what you can call the BCM) that is part of the fuse box. The PCM is in the general area under the dash in the center of the car, so generally behind the stereo/shifter.

It looks like the PCM for your car is for the 05 DX, so you'll have to either find one used from that vehicle or find out if an electronics shop can repair the damage to your orignal PCM.

What did your friend do exactly to short/damage the PCM?

Not 100% sure but he said he was messing with the fuse box in the car and his buddy was messing with the battery. Apparently they weren't communicating and ended up frying the system

The MICU is part of the under-dash fuse box assembly.

Is the PCM fried or the MICU?
