Default Blank Radio display

The display screen for the Clock / Stereo / HVAC has gone blank. The radio still works, as does the HVAC, but there's nothing on the screen. The car is a 2004 Accord EX V6 sedan and is completely stock.

I checked all the fuses and they look good. I disconnected the battery and when I reconnected it and turned the key on, the screen flashed for half a second and then went blank again. I entered my radio code and the radio worked, but still no display.

Any help would be appreciated.

Check the TSB section of this site. There is a recall. Honda should either fix it for free, or replace itwith a reman unit for free.

It wasn't a recall, it was a warranty extension.

The beginning of this thread is over 4 years old, so maybe it's too late for that program??

Many, many thanks. I was looking for all recall notices - and found none. A local dealer said they know nothing about it. Now I have something to go by, the link is great - as it provides proof.

Thanks again

The warranty extension would essentially be over...
