Ok I have a 1994 Honda accord i used to paper clip method to read my codes I got 1-Long and 7-short for my CEL and then I got 4-short for my D4 light. I gather the 17 for my CEL is the VSS but what is the 4-short for the D4 light?

 

I moved your post to a new thread. Read the first two threads in the gen tech help forum. The second thread will give you a link to shop manuals where you can get a 94 shop manual.

The D4 code 4 is also for the VSS.

 

I am going to replace my VSS and will post how it works out for me

 

Don't forget to check the wires, make sure they're not broken or loose.

 

im guessing your speedometer does not work either?
