hi guys, what is the sign of a blocked cooland other than collant spouting all over the place when the engine was switched off and ofcause the temperature in the car goes up like there's no tomorrow.
your radiator fans should kick in after u switch off the car to cool things down, i suspect a bad fan timer unit (behind the glove box), to check it, what you can do is :

- start the car and let it idle until the fans come on (this shows that the temp sensor A sitting on top of your thermostat is ok)

- then, unplug the temperature sensor B on the radiator upper hose, short the connector using a paperclip and turn off the car, normally the fans should run to bring the coolant to a reasonable temp, if fans don't turn and you hear/see coolant boiling and splattering all over the place, then it's your fan timer unit that is bad, you can take it out, reflow the solder joints and put it back or buy one from your local junkyard...
good luck.
