Brakes are breaking my will power

Here is what I have. 1996 accord 4 cylinder. I put in new master cylinder and blend with vacuum pump. All clean new fluid no bubbles. I have a soft spongey pedal. The car sat for close to 2years. Could the soft lines be going bad and expanding when we step on the brakes?

Could be; if that's the case, have someone pump the pedal while you watch the brake hose, you should be able to see it expand.

Also make sure the rear brake shoes/drums are properly adjusted.

If you didn't bench-bleed the new master cylinder, you may have to bleed a lot more fluid through before the last few bubbles come out. It needs pumping action at the MC - the bubbles stuck in there don't seem to come out easily without a lot of pumping.
