whoa whoa whoa... how did you get a 6 speed manual in a 95????
thats awesome!
what tranny did you use?
and yea, check the brake fluid.
if its topped off, check the switch on the hand brake using a voltimeter on the ohms / continuity setting
it that check ok, there is a TSB about the float in the brake fluid malfunctioning in cold weather.

Did you have the e-brake on when you were doing the repairs? Perhaps the wire hasn't released all the way and it's still tripping the sensor. Are all of your brake lights and signals still functional?
the rear break lights and everything works fine... just the dashboard lights says that its still on...
i didn't do any repairs. so i don't think it has to do with it...

well, inspect the brake brake lights. there is a sensor assembly back there. if everything looks connected and secure - disconnect it. inspect the connector and terminals or any corroded terminals or burnt parts.
since the same fuse that powers the bulbs powers the brake light failure sensor you know the fuse is good(since you said all the brake lights work). if the connector looks ok, knock on the sensor unit a few times.
if the brake light bulb failure indicator goes out now, replace the sensor unit.
if it doesn't go out, jump WHITE wire with a GREEN strip(not the green/white strip) to the black wire in the connector. if the brake bulb failure indicator goes out, replace the sensor unit.
the handbrake light- did you inspect the brake fluid level? if it's ok, did you test the fluid switch? if you did, did you inspect the parking brake switch? if you did and that's ok, there is a short to ground causing the light to come on. if you didn't test those switches, let us know, we'll walk you through it.
