I will look for this jet kit thank you!:) But I already got the kit for broken bolts removing and the actual new bolt with washer as well. So I will try to take off the bolt. If it's not gonna work, I will do it your way ;)

If you have a fill bolt, you don't have the jet kit. It would be in place of the fill bolt. I'm pretty sure all the 03 V6 Accords were included in the recall, so your transmission should have the kit installed. Did you own the car back in 03? Maybe the previous owner didn't bring it in for the recall.

I think it lists like 30 ft lbs but IMHO that is overkill for the fill bolt. On the Pilot I only go to maybe 20 ft lbs.
My experience here: https://www.hondaaccordforum.com/for...ue-spec-33770/ Which manual and where did you get it? Just wondering as people ask all the time, I know what I usually suggest but wanting to know if there is something else out there. |
Just let us know where you found/got it. Be sure to use the "proper way".....me, I suggest people go to www dot automanualsource dot com.........get what I mean :). No direct links.

Thanks. Again, I and a few others have been happy with automanualsource, it is like $22 for a download and $27 for a CD shipped. It is what I have for the cars I do not own  I spend money for a manual on a car I don't own.....wish I had a better hammer to head icon :), I'm not the brightest person huh.

Here I am, back and ready to tell my story. So this past weekend I was trying to get the transmission bolt out, and I accedently did something that cuted of electric power in the car. There were absolutely no power! I couldn't start a car so, I was scared and freaking out. Luckly my friend had a friend that has his friend's friend to come and fix it. It was 100 Amps battery fuse and that dude used regular wire to fix it and he said that this is temperary solution and that I have to get a new fuse.
Now about bolt, I was afraid to break my new wrench, because that bolt sits sooooo tight, I should probably unscrew it when car is cold. Should I lubricate the bolt using WD40 or any oil and let it sit for a bit, would that help? And this time I would have to remove that fuse box somehow to get to the transmission closer and not mess up anything again. |
Since the battery is "right there".....might have let a wrench or something contact the Pos side of the battery.....causing the short. Yes replace the fuse/wire ASAP.
Next time, remove the cable(s) from the battery....guess you have the code for the radio. Get the socket on the bolt and go for it...again I did this for the first time on the '07 and thought something was wrong....you have to really get that thing....when it lets loose, you will think something broke...it is just that bolt giving up. GO FOR IT. Then. just torq the thing to like 20 when you reinstall. |
Yeah I would do what Poorman said. Personally I'd just get a breaker bar, an extension to reach down to the fill plug and just go at it. Have you tried this yet? If it's on tight forget the wrench just go get a $12 18-inch breaker bar from Autozone and go at it.
Watch at 4:00. Do that. I don't think WD-40 will do anything. Maybe try PB Blaster instead but I don't know what would happen if it got into the transmission. I'd just try to break it open with the breaker bar. I'd gauge whether whatever corrosion or rust is holding the bolt on will give way before the strength or structural integrity of a (steel?) bolt. The only time I've ever broken a bolt was overtorqueing it. Every bolt that was on too tight I gave it my all and they gave way rather than the bolt actually breaking but your mileage may vary. |
