well i had a aftermarket radio with dvd. i took out the factory radio. well the a/c was workinh fine for about 1 year, now it only blows hot air, seems the compressor is not engaging. i put back the factory radio but still no a/c. can anyone help me out?

 

Hi, first you should check if it is just a simple fuse so check your fuse box. If not, check if you have refrigrant in your vehicle because without refrigrant your vehicle wouldn't blow cold air. If you think your compressor is dead then turn on your AC and open your hood and check if it is engaging. Hope this will help a little

 

Yes check out the R134A with a gauge kit that you can buy from your local auto parts store.
It will tell you if your 134A is low .
