Default a/c only blowing low while on high

hello everybody, I'm new here I have a 1997 Honda accord lx . Well the problem I am having is when I turn on my a/c or heater it only blows out low while on high. the blower motor turns on I even removed it to see if it worked and it did. the cold air is very cold and the hot comes out hot but it doesn't blow strong so im hoping that someone on here might be able to identify the problem any input would be greatly appreciated thanks for reading my thread

Is the blower motor turning at high speed, but little air pushed from dash vents?

If yes, an obstruction is likely the problem. Most likely, a very dirty evaporator. Not to bad a job to remove/clean, but AC must be discharged and recharged after cleaning. You may be able to remove blower assy and inspect evaporator face w/ a mirror and light (not sure but worth a try).

Other possibility is a faulty air mix door, but from your description this appears to be working OK.

It might be possible for the vent selection door to direct the air to defrost vents or floor vents instead of dash vents. Make sure vent selection is working correctly.

good luck

Could possibly be the blower motor relay--I had just the opposite problem recently on my 98 accord. The blower only worked on high and not on the low settings. Less than $100.00 to replace the relay.
