Default CAI Filter Installation

I would like to change my cold air intake filter to a name brand one. But is there any way I can do it without the trouble of removing the bumper?

not likely.. they usually mount 3/4 the way towards the filter, which is too far under the wheel well to reach without removing the bumper and shroud.

But hey, it's practice, so get at it!!!

Also, be careful with the clips, they do break (although you can buy more, it's just best not to break them)

You can get to the filter by removing clips on the lower shield under that corner of the bumper. It is attached to the wheel well. Once the clips are out of the shield portion, you can bend it out of the way and get to the filter. If the car is lowered, you are going to want to jack it up to make it easier to get underneath ...... use a jack stand for safety.

Thanks guys, I will try it and if worse comes worse. I'll get a buddy to remove the bumper with me again.
