just had the captive rotors on my 93 accord ex replaced. I'm still having steering wheel vibration when i brake at 40 until i reach about 25 mph. Is it possible the rotors are not on right? what else might be causing this vibration?
I have read it could be bad wheel bearings, but shouldn't you hear something if they were bad? Took the car back to the shop today, they told me i might need to get my BRAND NEW rotors machined with some kind of lathe that works without taking the rotors off the car. The guy told me that since they are pressed on rotors they might not be true by a little bit,causing the steering wheel vibration. To me that sounds like the didn't install them correctly. Any feed back would help

 

Sounds like they didn't install them correctly. They (or you) can measure them for any wobbling as they turn. Got a dial-indicator?

dont have a dial indicator. Going to another shop tomorrow(the shop that is supposed to machine the rotors) Plan on telling them the story and asking for their opinion on the rotors not being installed correctly. Let you know what happens
