Car sat for a year now has surging idle

So my car had sat for a little over a year and now that I’ve got it running I’ve got a surging idle issue. I took off the IAC valve and let it soak and cleaned it now it moves nicely inside with no change.
is and 03 accord with 178k and 2.4l 5spd

Some items come to mind.

Air in the cooling system can cause idle problems, so when the engine is cool, remove the radiator cap, top off the radiator if necessary, the run the engine to allow any air to escape with the radiator cap off. Look for any vacuum hoses that rotted as that can cause an idle issue.

Other items are to scan for any codes. Maybe a rodent chew into some wiring. Look in the air filter housing and around the engine for any nests.

So I let it run a for a bit yesterday with the cap off didn’t get many bubbles but the surging continued, it’s not actually throwing a code yet which is surprising. I do have a new IAC sensor coming for Monday. Thank you for the reply I’m going to have to search with a fine tooth comb and see if something’s disconnected somewhere
