Default Carpet Cleaning

Anybody know a good product to buy that will clean the carpet in cars and make it look like showroom quality?

Try any decent brand carpet cleaner...Follow the directions on the can. Also detailers use carpet machines like what's used in a home, they probably work the best. Most have the little (stairway) attachment that works great in the confined spaces of a car. I know where I shop for groceries their in the front of the store to rent, might be worth the $$ to get one for the day and check it out. Do you have a buddy or someone who wants to do the same thing? Maybe you can split the cost of the machine and cleaners to go in it.

Steam/extraction machines work a lot better than the spray-can stuff. Rent something like Rug Doctor or whatever. I bet places like Lowes rents that stuff too.

Ive used 409 Carpet cleaner and had pretty good results. My mother-in-law has one of those cleaners that uses water (they call them steam cleaners but the ones sold to consumers do NOT get that hot - you fill it with hot tap water.) It has the stairway attachment and I plan on stealing it sometime soon and using it on the LX.
When I was cleaning last time I found a spot almost under the passenger seat that is stained bright red. Apparently the toddler dropped a juice cup or something and it leaked (even though the ones we buy are supposed to be spillproof.) The 409 Carpet cleaner did not even put a dent in the red stain, but it worked well on the other random stains I had on the carpet. I am thinking I am just going to have to keep the mat over the red spot

Cool, cool. My stepdad actually has a commercial carpet cleaner that they use in businesses and restaurants. I was just looking for a decent way to clean the carpet without taking the seats out since there's side airbag and seat heater and power seat wiring that comes with the seat and reinstalling them would be a pain in the butt.

Disconnect battery, to avoid errors with airbag system. Wiring should just unclip, under the seats. Removing seats is not as difficult as most people think.
