2009 EXL-V6. Armrest vinyl is cracked and needs replaced. How do I remove the armrest? Do I have to replace the whole assembly (83450-TAC-A11ZB) or can I just buy the padded part or maybe take it off and have recovered?

 

It looks like you have to buy the whole piece if you go through Honda. A place that does car interiors my be able to reupholster it.

I've e-mail the same instructions I sent the other user to the account you used to sign up to the forum. It is in an Excel file, the instructions are on different "tabs" in that file. Hope it works.

"tommain" - Excel file has been sent. As stated before, there are tabs in the file that have different pieces of the instructions/diagrams. Been traveling so I'm behind on reading....sorry.

 

Poorman, I have the excel file but I hope I don't have to remove the entire console just to separate the cover from the slide. I just want to recover the top where it has worn out. Some have mentioned inserting a screw driver between the two to release the lock but I've had no luck. Any advice?

 

If you only want to replace the top, remove the seven screws.
