Default Ceramic Brakes? or just brakes...

2003 Accord 4dr EX 4cyl

I want to replace my brakes. They have been resurfaced twice so I don't know how much more life they have in them. I want to replace all of it but have no idea where to start or what parts I will be needing. I like to try and do things myself so if someone can point me in the right direction on how to do this and where to buy the parts I would appreciate it.

Resurfaced twice would tell me theyre close to the end of their life... but they have a minimum thickness stamped on them somewhere.

What you would need to replace all the rotors and pads:

- 2 front rotors
- 1 set of front pads
- 2 rear rotors
- 1 set of rear pads

I got Hawk HPS pads for about $55/axle, theyre a little better than OEM quality. I would recommend Brembo blank rotors or OEM rotors, but the rotors at any parts store will work fine.

That is what I was thinking. I don't mind spending a little more $ to get better quality. Do you know if there is a post in the DIY section on how to replace the brakes? Or know of any place I can find that information?

Might as well step up to some stainless steel braided brake lines while you have everything apart.
