Check your fuel pressure regulator vacuum reference line by removing and sniffing. If you get a strong smell of gas, then fuel supply may be the problem. The diaphragm in the fuel pressure regulator has ruptured and raw unmetered gas is being pulled through the vacuum reference line into the throttle body. This would cause excess fuel and possibly the rotten egg smell.

Code 43 can be fuel supply or O2 sensor circuit. Have you checked that O2 sensor is cycling hi-to-lo voltage 0.1-0.9 v, w/ a mean of 0.45V. You need a high impedance (1 megaohm or higher) volt-ohm-meter (VOM) to measure voltage on a live circuit. A replacement O2 sensor can be purchased inexpensively (ebay or local auto parts), and if it's never been replaced or is old, this is a distinct possibility. The rotten egg smell can be associated w/ excess fuel supply, which might be caused by a failed O2 sensor.

Also add your car year and trim level to your signature line so it will be obvious.

good luck
