Default Clutch Master Cylinder: Rebuild or buy new one?

246k on original CM Cylinder
Anyone rebuild the clutch master cylinder? If so where did you get the parts? Did the rebuild last?

If unable to rebuild I'll replace it with a quality unit. Use only OEM? or are there quality aftermarket units?

The Honda dealer wants $240 for a new cylinder

Thanks!

You can find online Honda parts suppliers that sell the OEM part for less. I believe Adler made the OEM part.

The rebuild kits are pretty simple with some springs and seals. If you are rebuilding make sure the bore of the master cylinder is still smooth where the seal rides.

Looked online and can't find a rebuilt kit here in the US. They are available in Europe, but don't want to deal with overseas shipping.

Thanks. I found an Adler Clutch Master Cylinder at the following website (6th manufacturer from the top) for about $70. If it is legit and anywhere close to OEM quality it's a good deal. Too good to be true? Anyone buy Adler parts or have experience with Partsgeek? (I've bought from RockAuto but they don't carry the Adler brand).

Thanks!

I used an Adler on my old 95 accord without any problems. I've used partsgeek in the past without any issues.
