Default Code 3 HVAC problem.

In reference to this thread: https://www.hondaaccordforum.com/for...89/#post329335

I ran diagnostics and got a 3, a problem in the air mix control linkage, door or motor. Any advice?

Sounds like time to test the motor - can I guess you have a 98-02 Accord? That info will help going forward......

No, it's a 2005. I just bought it used, so I don't have any history on the car.

Thanks for your help!

A code "3" or did one of the temp digits light up in the figure 3. The second part of that link has how to translate the segments into letters.

Do you know where the air mix motor is and how hard it is to replace?

I'm always a fan of testing things........could be a simple as the linkage needs a little lube.

From the drivers floor board, look up towards the center console....I think I have a pic somewhere....will post it later once I find it.

To replace, that is in the second pic I posted......high level, a few screws and the linkage and done.
