Console power sockets
I have a new 2013 Honda Accord EX-L V6. I was hard wiring my GPS receiver and my radar detector in a couple of minutes ago. I found something odd though. I went to plug a fuse pigtail into the fuse location for the Console power socket (#14). When I plugged the fuse I had power so I tried the other power socket, #40, and found the same thing.
I know that the actual sockets don't have power until you go to the ACC or ON on the ignition button. Does Honda switch power on after the fuses??? I did find another fuse marked ACC (#37) that power is applied to the fuse only after going to the ACC or On position on the ignition button. |
use the ACC fuse. if you need more than one fuse, the no. 7 fuse is labeled "option" that may work for you if it's only powered with key on.

I did use the ACC fuse. It works like I want it to.
I had been using the OPT fuse, #7, but I wouldn't get power until the ignition was in the on position. Thanks for your help. |
