http://a href=http://s159.photobucke...30202043_o.jpg[/IMG] Hello...Can anyone tell me if I turned this into a paper weight? I initially didn't think it was a big deal but later realized that tab may be use for the crank position sensor. Thanks for any help.

What year, model, engine, etc... is your car?

1998 Accord, f23 four cylinder vtec.

I'd say get a replacement. That tab is likely for the crank sensor, plus it would be out of balance when spinning causing a vibration.

Thanks for the insight, that's what I'm going to do.

Be careful.....I did the same thing on my 97 Accord about eight months ago. My trip to the dealer turned out to be expensive. Wife went with me, knew I was in trouble, by the time we left we left with the part and a new 2016 Pilot Touring AWD . That was an expensive "parts run" for me

I left my wife at home and the car is back up and running! But remember, happy wife, happy life
