I would just leave it in there until I was going to take off the door panel anyway. I doubt it will hurt anything. I would NEVER pay someone to get it out of there - total waste of money. If anyone is going to pay to get it out, your friend should pay. Has he cancelled the credit card yet? If not, take it to a shop and when they are done and give you his credit card back, use his credit card to pay for it.

I was contemplating the consequences of the same thing while I was sitting at a drive-thru playing with my credit card in the window. I thought to myself "Wow, that would be a b***h if I dropped it before I paid."

Tell him that he's SOL, and have him order a new card.... he'll get a new # and a new card, and all will be good..e ven if you DO get that card out after that, it wont' be valid...

put the cost on him, not you..

^ that's why I said to have the work done BEFORE he cancells the card and use the card to pay for the work. Anyone who is dumb enough to lose their credit card that way is not going to pay for the work that has to be done to get it out of there. Then you are stuck holding the bag. Your friend may have cost you over $100 by being an idiot unless you DIY. The only way to FORCE him to pay for it is by using the card as I said above. How old is this guy? If he's still in high school you should tell his parents and they will have to pay for it.

You should get it out and use it to buy a 47" TV, then drop the receipt for it in HIS car window lol.

No i mean just leave it in there.. is it going to cause any harm?

Leave it in there and have him get a new card issued.
