you absolutely must give us more information....when you click the cruise button does the light fire up on the dash? what exactly happens when you try to engage the cruise?

o yea! i forgot to mention that the both lights light up. the one on the button and the one by the gauges. but when I press it and set it nothing happens. the car just slows down when i let off the gas. I checked all the connections under the hood front area and there fine.

ok then yea it sounds like the system is working good. i bet its the accumulator then too. if you look under the hood its on the right side, its round its on a stand and it has a wire leading to the throttle body. make sure that all vacuum lines and the electrical plug are secure...the diaphram inside that unit may be bad or there may be a hose thats leaking vacuum. or maybe even the cable that goes from the accumulator to the throttle body may be broken.
