cruise control
hello to all, i have 3 6th gen accords. one is for parts, blown head gasket. the cruise control on my 98 accord doesnt work. so i took the dash switch out of the parts car (cc worked b4 it blew), and cc still doesnt work. i have 24v coming to switch. the clear light comes on if headlights are on but green light does not come on and cc doesnt work. i travel extensively for work. if i dont have cc i will get many tickets.
Thanks to all in advance.

Ok, first I hope the scale was off or a typo....24v to the switch?
Anyway.....what color wire are you testing into the switch? The BLK/YEL (#3 pin) should have 12v with the ign on. When the switch is pressed, the LT GRN (pin #2) should then have 12v. Verify these readings....the bulb lighting up is a second thing (bulbs do burn out)....your issue could be further down the system.

thank you poorman212. i have eliminated dash switch from the equation by using my wifes switch (her cc works properly & the switch lights operate properly in car that cc doesnt work in). i have checked brake switch, brake lights work properly, so that should eliminate that as the problem. i dont know what to check next. thanks in advance to all.

The brake lights working DOES NOT eliminate the brake switch.
If the switch isn't adjusted correctly the brake lights will work but the cruise will not.
Need to test continuity from pin 1 to 4 on the switch when the pedal is not pressed.
