Turning over can have a couple of meanings. Is the starter spinning the engine? Or is the car not firing up?

Did you check for spark on each wire? I would use a timing light on each wire, if you have one. If not, you can pull off the spark plug wire and use and old spark plug or a screwdriver to test. See the tegger site I referenced in the the sticky post at the top of this forum.

Is this a remanufactured distributor, or a junkyard one?

Also make sure you put the plug wires on in the right order.

Are you certain distributor drive key was installed to camshaft slot correctly? It's possible to install 180 deg off and engine will not start. If installed incorrectly, there may be a gap where distributor face meets cylinder head end.

Installed correctly, the distributor face and cylinder head meet smoothly all the way around w/ no bolts installed.

good luck

Reset the ECU by removing the 7.5 amp backup/radio fuse in the engine bay fuse box for a minute. Try to restart the car. Check to see if you have any error code(s). See how to get cel codes in the DIY section for instructions.
