Anyone know the manufacturer of this remote? I just bought a '97 Accord with one key and one remote. This looks like an aftermarket alarm but I'm going to attempt to get a second remote, at least a users manual.

As far as the key, did the 97's have the key with the electronic chip in it or can I just get one cut at the locale key shop?

It looks like a remote I had that was a Bulldog brand security. Check ebay for all sorts of remotes and security systems.

good luck

Some do look similar but no matches. I've gotta find the control module. It wasn't obvious. I would assume I need to follow the alarm speaker wire.

the remote looks like its for a keyless entry system only as there are only 2 buttons (lock and unlock) look under your dash driver's side for a black box spliced into the wire harness system. I had the same thing for my 98 accord and it was keyless entry only.......

You can probably buy a universal remote on ebay that mimicks the original remote's signal. Look for one that learns from the one that you have.

I didn't know they made such a thing. I just ordered one for $9.99 plus shipping. Thanks.

How about the key? Easy to copy at the local key shop or is there a chip in it?

There is no chip in the key. Those started in 98. There is a post above about it.

Thanks. I didn't know what "immobilizer" meant.
