Dome Light messed up
I was swapping all of my interior lights to LED bulbs and when I tried to put the dome bulb in all my lights went out. I blew the fuse, so I replaced it and now everything works, but my dome light won't shut off unless I manually turn it to the off position. Anyone know how to fix this so that it goes off when I close the doors and dims out?

I think that system is turned on by grounding the circuit.
It is definitely possible that you shorted the dome light switch or the wiring. I think that the dimming is controlled by the multiplex control unit. You should inspect the wiring to the dome light to see if you pinched some wires. |
Help me!!!
Did you find a fix to your problem?? The same happened to me but i was installing led strip to the footwell wired to the dome light wiring to look factory. Long story short blew my fuse almost **** my pants till i swapped the fuse then saw them light up sign of relief untill noticed they dont turn of even with all door clothes properly. I have the strong feeling i have to change my passenger side multiplex...
PLease any info ASAP would help! chrisj93@me.com 619-988-6045 call/txt |

LEDs don't dim, you probably messed something up in the multiplex unit. I really don't know why anybody would waste the time or money on putting in LEDs in the interior lights...but that's just me.

Yeah it was the multiplex swapped it out and worked fine. Little heads up if ur multiplex box is blue or white make shute u get the same color. I blew it installing footwell lighting. All works fine now and looks awesome. Dont be alarmed its pretty simple to swap and no that expensive if u pick one up at the junk yard for about 40 bucks. Its as simple as removing the glove box then ull see it clearly in plain view.
