Drivers side headlight bulb 97 accord V6

Removed lock ring - counter clockwise.....can be stuck and hard to do but lube and that might help.

Wiggle (yes technical term) and pull at the same time on the base of the bulb.

Remove wires.

Install in reverse....please do your best not to touch the glass part of the new bulb with your hands.

 

thanks, I was wondering about the item between the battery and the headlight, it looks like a coolant recovery tank. I also see the battery must come out too.

 

I know how to remove & replace the bulb, done some on my '95, but the '97 I now have has no clearance for my hand without removing the battery and whatever that other thing is! I want to know how to remove it!

 

I believe what you are talking is a "vent tube" for the battery.....just gently grab and pull straight up.

Got a picture of the area.

 

Sorry, on the 6cyl it looks like there is a bolt (#15 in pic) that holds that tube down.

 

I just replaced drivers side low beam on my '97 Accord V6 and had to remove the battery, the coolant overflow tank, a shroud in the corner that connects to the air intake then the bulb...not too bad, but could be a lot easier...Honda...go figure!
