Default Dual Climate Control Issues

Hi! This is my first post here on the forum so please excuse me if I'm in the wrong section here. Thanks in advance for any help!

I have a 2008 Honda Accord EX (4 cylinder, auto transmission). The Climate control on the passengers side is stuck on full heat no matter what you change on the controls. As you adjust the fan speed that on both sides of the car works. As you adjust the temp it changes on the screen, but the actual air temp won't change on the passengers side. Everything on the drivers side works fine.

I am wondering if anyone knows the sequence of buttons to put the climate control computer into the "diagnostic mode" and make it spit out the codes. Also, any ideas on what the problem is? thanks.

oh, and I'll guess there is something in the pass air mix motor...segment D, E, F with the AC On light.

Thanks for the quick response. Ill ill give that a try and see what codes I can pull. Is there a list of what the codes mean somewhere?

I have been searching for a passenger air mix motor, but cant seem to find the part. DO you know where I could get one if that turns out to be the problem?

So I ran the codes... According to the diagram you attached to your second post:
Segment D is on, and the A/C on light is illuminated. That seems to be the only code. Any advice on what that means?

Edit: TO be sure I had the right code I ran it a second time, and there were no codes. Now the system is working fine... strange.

Hopefully, everything stays OK.

To answer your question:
D and A/C ON: An open in the passenger air mix control motor circuit.

That makes sense, considering the symptoms. So if the problem returns I'm assuming that means that there's a problem in the wiring, the connection, or the motor itself. Anything else that would throw that code?

Generally, the troubleshooting would involve checking for loose wires or poor connections, testing the motor, and continuity tests between specific terminals on two of the climate control unit connectors and the passenger air mix control motor connector.

Cool, thanks for the help. I'm hoping it just stays fixed as well.
