What car, 72 Pinto?

Search in the General Tech and DIY areas for cleaning out the EGR passageways. Very often it's not a bad valve but rather the passages in the manifold are full of crud.

LOL.. Yeah that was a newbie mistake... Thx for the induction. I have a 2001 Honda accord lx 4 banger. I've been reading my repair manual and im wondering can other sensors effect the function of the EGR Valve. And there is bolt on the valve cover towards the back that needs replacing. Since the EGR valve is right near that bolt, could it be that air is actually seeping that could or would effect the air flow as well?

Since we're talking repairs, I'll move this over to General Tech.

The CEL was on... what error code did you get that points to EGR?
