Default emissions

Hey guys when I bought my accord the check engine light was on so I took it to a parts house and hooked it up to their machine and it said EGR deficiency or something along those lines. So they told me to take the EGR off and try and clean it and see what happens. I did so and the check engine light went off for a few days and then came back on. So I repaced the EGR valve and the check engine light had went off again for a few days and now its back on, any ideas?

IT's covered for 150,000 miles. Head out to the dealer.

most likely the valve is good and the egr ports are clogged. This is a common problem on ALL Honda engines up to and including the j series (early models such as j30a) the newer J3Xx and K2Xx do not seem to have this problem as bad.......

so what would be the best way to clean out the ports? I am going to check into the recall though also.
